Upvote Downvote and Downvote Abuse

Downvotes are something that are not only on Hive but other platforms as well like Reddit, Youtube etc and Tiktok is said to have introduced downvote feature as well.

But we need to understand what these downvote upvote mean?

Upvoting

Upvoting content means you simply like the content and think that it is positively contributing to a community or the platform as a whole. And in case of Hive, the contentupvoted earns rewards being upvoted.

Upvote represents support for something.

Downvoting

Downvoting is an action that is used as a signal of disapproval or try to downgrade the content. Downvote is the opposite of Upvote. Downvoting on Hive means declining post rewards.

Users have been downvoting content on the platform for some time and it has got to next level now. We see this self-made police Hivewatcher who also is funded from Hive account@hive.fund with a few thugs with some good Hive Power bullying poor users downvoting their content, enslaving them and making them beg to stop. This is actually abuse of the downvote feature and goes against the community terms.

If a content is plagiarised, downvote should be used. If you don't agree with some content and don't think it should be on the platform, simply downvote it but you can't just downvote every single post shared by a user if its not plagiarised or the content is not bad enough. But this is what we see from thugs of Hivewatcher doing it.

Unfortunately, the thugs in Hivewatcher have some influential people with a good amount of Hive Power and also getting funded by Hive account@hive.fund and the way they stalk and downvote users is something that I believe is doing more harm than good.

I believe these Hivewatcher retards and thugs don't even qualify to police this platform.
