Weekly Development Updates for D.Buzz - Today : More Embeds and ease-of-use updates

Hello fans and friends of D.Buzz!

It's that time of the week again when we talk about new developments to the D.Buzz platform. This week we have a bunch of updates, most of them focus on cleaning up and making previous release features more streamlined and easier-to-use.

Most notable this week we added two new video platforms to our already growing list of supported embeded sites. With this week's update you can now embed videos from Banned.Video and D.Tube. All you need to do is copy the URL and placing it directly into a Buzz, the video will appear natively and be able to be played from directly within the Buzz.

Integrated crypto tracker URL.

One neat feature a lot of people are beginning to use on D.Buzz is the crypto integrated tracker link. How this works is that you can add the $ plus the ticker symbol of a specific crypto token into a Buzz, then automatically, D.Buzz will add a hotlink to the https://www.coingecko.com/ tracking page for that specific token. This all happens automatically.

EXAMPLE :

One fix we rollout this week is that the link for $CUB (The Leo finance token for DiFi - https://cubdefi.com/). Seems there are a lot of $CUB tagged assets on CoinGecko, this made the default link for $CUB point to the wrong URL on CoinGecko, we updated this to point to the correct URL in today's release. As of today would you type $CUB you will redirect to the correct page at : https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/cub-finance

Ease of Use Updates

While not really a bug ease-of-use updates are important! We noticed a lot of people were trying to log in by adding the "@" in front of their names. This caused a login issue. With this update, we will now ignore the "@", if a user adds it while logging in. This should make the login process easier with less frustrations.

We've also added a second button to clear any current or previous Buzz text you were working on. It was brought to our attention that sometimes, the Buzz's text stayed after buzzing, or that you just wanted to have an easy way to clean the buzz text and move on to new idea without highlighting it. We have now added a clear button that will do that for you with one click.

Along these lines, we've also added a fix so that after you've published a buzz, the text from that buzz will be removed from the buffer. This way when you start a new buzz, that old text will no longer be present.
