What's buzzing, friends?

Aesop’s fables are well known for their moral lessons, but did you know that some of them also have a hidden message for businesses? The story of the tortoise and the hare is a perfect example of this. In the story, the tortoise slowly but steadily makes his way to the finish line, while the hare, who is much faster, takes a nap along the way. The moral of the story, of course, is that slow and steady wins the race.

The tale of the turtle and the rabbit has been around for generations. But is there any truth to it? Some say the story is a fable, while others believe it to be true. That is, unless you look at the story of Cliff Young.

We will put this quote from Wikipedia about Cliff Young...

He was best known for his unexpected win of the inaugural Sydney to Melbourne Ultramarathon in 1983 at 61 years of age. - Source

If we were the betting type, we would not wager that, Cliff Young, coming in at a modest 61 years old, would finish and, moreover, WIN an Ultramarathon. But he did.

Take note that 875 kilometers (544 mi) was the length he ran. He did so in his workbooks and overalls, much the way a turtle would walk with his shell.

Cliff won the race, as when the faster, more equipped runners slept for the night, Cliff just kept on running and running. That got him the lead and, eventually, the win!

So, while the old Aesop fable of the tortoise and the hare may be fictional, it does have merit, and perhaps has hidden truths? The other thing that has hidden truths is the weekly update from D.Buzz. The best part, is you can read it fast or slow and finish in first place, every time.
