What's buzzing, friends!

What exactly does "out of touch with youth culture" mean? We are not sure, but we are guessing it has something to do with not being up-to-date with the latest trends. And we can certainly understand why that would be a bad thing. After all, who wants to be seen as old and out of touch?

Keeping up with the latest trends is hard. It seems like every day there is a new fad to follow or something cool to buy. We have tried to keep up in the past, but it’s just too hard. We just don’t have the time or money to buy all the new stuff that comes out. And, even if I did, were not sure if we would know how to wear it or use it.

This all brings us to today's story. Auckland, New Zealand and the growing sub culture that is called "Siren kings" (*we feel so out of touch).

Youths try to make, and assemble battery - powered "Siren" systems, to produce the loud and clearest sound they can. Most times, the sirens are affixed to bikes, but also cars. Battles are fought, and the winner is declared the "Siren King". They won this title by making the loudest and most overwhelming sound as picked by the judge. Sometimes, they get the other players to play sirens as well.

You know what they say, if it is too loud, you are just too old, but perhaps this time... that is okay. We like to keep our hearing. We all may never be the next Siren King or Queen of Auckland, New Zealand, but what we all can do, is check out this week's posts from D.BUZZ below. No sirens were needed :)
