What's buzzing, friends?

Phobias... are a very interesting topic. There are so many different types of phobias, and each one is unique. It is incredible how the human mind can create such a thing. Phobias can be very debilitating, and can prevent people from living an everyday life.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of fear. That heart-racing, palms-sweating, mind-numbing sensation that comes over you when you're confronted with your deepest, darkest phobia. But what exactly is a phobia? And why do we have them?

Regarding fear, humans are born pretty limited, at least at birth. According to a 1960 study, the only things we're born afraid of are falling and loud sounds. So if you're ever feeling scared, just remember that you're probably only afraid of one of those two things. All the other phobias we developed over time, or are products of our life we lived in one way or another.

Such as anatidaephobia, which is the fear that a duck is watching you, somehow, somewhere... That fear just developed based on something that happened in your life.
