Let's Get Meta !

Hello, D.Buzz development enthusiasts!

Let's Get Meta folks!

We were not talking about the Metaverse, no... but instead, meta tags are bits of text that describe a page's content. They don't appear on the page itself but only on its code. Meta tags are used by search engines to help them understand what a page is about.

Meta tags are snippets of text that describe a page's content; they are used by search engines to help index your site. While they are not as important as they once were, they are still a valuable tool in social media. When used correctly, meta tags can help your posts be more easily found by potential customers and followers. They can also help you better control how your posts are displayed on social media.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that we have implemented these little bits of code into Next.D.Buzz, and will soon be pushing them to the main D.Buzz platform as well. This means that moving forward, when you share your DBuzz post on other social media platforms, posts will look better and have more relevant content for the different platforms.

You can read more meta tags on this webpage and just how cool they are: https://ahrefs.com/blog/open-graph-meta-tags/

In addition to adding the meta tag feature, we also addressed a few of our larger bugs. One of the more significant bugs was causing DBuzz to crash on occasions when scrolling. Very annoying, but now a thing of the past. WooT!

We also addressed a few issues with the Lite platform, problems with links, and with emojis (*we love them, little guys ๐Ÿ˜).

Please take note:

We have not pushed a significant number of these Tuesday updates to the main platform for a while. They are all being tested on the Next.D.Buzz platform which is our public testing platform. We are aiming to do a massive update of all these issues to the main D.Buzz stable release within a few weeks.

Below, you will find the full release notes for this week!
