DBuzz co-founder Hive account@nathansenn answered an interesting question during the Frolicblock event held in Mati City, Davao Oriental, Philippines, about his ideas on how to onboard to Web3 social media and join the Hive community.

During the panel discussions of the Frolicblock Event, the host asked Nathan Senn how ordinary social media users can get started with Web3 social media.

According to Nathan Senn, it's very easy to get onboarded and join Web3; they only need a HIVE account by visiting the website https://join.d.buzz/.

After submitting a phone number, they will get a text message and use the text message to create their Hive account.

Nathan Senn reminded everybody to save their keys because they own their accounts, so they need to back up their keys, keep them, write them down and put them somewhere safe.

What are Hive Keys?

The Hive blockchain has four keys and one seedphrase or master password. Each of the keys provides built-in security against user account compromise and allows users to perform different functions.

Here's the Hive Keys and their Uses

Master Password: Full access to the account
Owner Key: Change Password, Change Keys, and Account Recovery
Active Key: Transfer Funds, Power Up/Down, Voting Witnesses/Proposals
Posting Key: Post, Comment, Vote, Reblog, Follow, and Edit Profile
Memo Key: Send/View encrypted messages on transfer

What is Frolicblock?

Frolicblock 2023 was dubbed the hottest blockchain even in Southern Philippines, featuring some of the most prominent Web3 personalities from different ecosystems who gathered to present their projects and provide Web3 education.
