Development, many ups and downs

Hello, D.Buzz development enthusiasts!

There are many ups and downs in app development. The process can be gratifying but also very challenging. It is important to be prepared for both the good and the bad.

This week, we had a bit of a challenge on our side, and we would like to express a heartfelt apology to our users for it.

The issue is that our backend server which handles our image uploads, search service, and additional features like the HIVE/HBD price feed was blocked. This caused many issues on our frontend - the most prominent was that DBuzz users could not upload images or videos. :(

We were aware of this issue, and our development team talked with the providers to sort out what happened and how to fix it. While we tried our best to resolve this issue as fast as we could, the solution was not 100% in our hands to improve, but rather on our provider's side to remove this block.

Again, please accept our apologies as we work through issues like this. Thank you. :)

While we did focus on addressing the more prominent issue listed above with image uploads, we also cleaned up some of the UI for users who logged in with Metamask. Icons that did not apply to them were removed, making the overall experience easier to understand.

In addition, we fixed a few other larger bugs regarding profile images and Metamask logins, some housekeeping on our backend dealing with the Pockets feature, and some services not working.

These updates are planned to be released on the testnet (https://next.d.buzz/) on Thursday. When we are confident that they are stable, we will release them on the mainnet (https://d.buzz/).
