Patience and Contentment: The Hidden Keys We Ignore in Life

As e dey go this weekend, greetings to all my fellow naija hivians here, hope this little piece of mine writing go help us and shape our life for better living.

In this our Naija today, everybody dey rush. If you ask young person what they want, the answer na quick money, fast success, sharp sharp breakthrough. Nobody wan hear “wait small. Let but truth be told, patience and contentment na two hidden keys wey many of us dey ignore, and na wetin cause problem for plenty people be that.

I remember one of my friends in school those days. He was always comparing himself with others. If someone buy new phone today, he must find way to buy tomorrow, even if e no get money. At the end, he fall into debt because of competition I shake head for am. That time I learn say contentment no mean you no go succeed, it mean you value wetin you get now while still working for better tomorrow.

Patience also na something I dey struggle with myself seriously na battle to everyone. For me I once rush into a business because I think I go hammer quick. I no take time to check well, I no ask questions, I just jump. Before three months, all the money vanish. Me wey try different online platform wey be my aim to make millions, That experience pain me but also teach me lesson: sometimes delay is not denial, it is protection. If you wait small, think well, plan well, you go save yourself from regret.

Life no be competition. Everybody get their own time and season. The mango tree no go bear fruit the same time as orange tree, but when the season come, each go bring sweet fruit. That is how life be. If we understand this, envy and unhealthy pressure go reduce. We go just pressure our life on top our anxiety.

Patience and contentment no mean laziness o and no mean you dey satisfied with struggle lifestyle. It mean you dey work hard, but you no dey kill yourself with rush or jealousy. It mean you dey thank God for the little you get while aiming higher.

If Naija youths fit learn this lesson, our society go peaceful more. Because many crime and wahala wey dey happen today na because people no fit wait or be content. Even on hive here it requires patience and consistent effort to keep showing up and keep writing and dey engage everyday.

So my people, make we slow down. Life no dey finish. Your time go come, just believe, work hard, and stay content.
