This week I decided to go on the climbs near my city (Massa, province of Massa-Carrara, Tuscany, Italy). There are some woods on many mountains. One of there is in Canalacci locality. You can get there after only 7-8 kilometers though the road is quite steep.

Once reached, I parked my scooter at the roadside and I went into the wood.

Even the paths are very steep, but along them, you can admire the nearby mountains. In the last days some of them have been whitened by a snowfall.

The trees are almost all bare. Some of them have fallen and many branches broke.

The paths are scattered with rocks on which the mosses proliferate.

You can see different types of shrubs.

Then, other rocks, other trees, other mosses.

The mosses don't even spare the trees body.

After going trough the wood, I found my self on the asphalt road.

Along it , I found these. They are remains of the ancient quarry's transport methods.

Great day; some much effort, but great day. In conclusion of the afternoon, I filled some bottles with drinking water that flows from the mountains above my city.
