Pi is a new cryptocurrency developed by Stanford PHDs. Like dozens of other cryptos that seem to be popping up all the time, I have no idea of this will be "the next big thing". However, it does have the advantage of being easy to mine and it is mined in an equitable way with early adopters having the advantage.
