Stems are bleeding

Damage by the hour

Emergency seeding

Sapped by the bark

Stuck to the leaves

Running in the dark

Pine cones up my sleeves

Digs up the garden

Dirt upon my grave

Summer takes its pardon

Retreat to the cave

Dead as the grass

Fuck this cold rain

Fall can kiss my ass

But all I can do is complain

Now I’m staring out the window

Tears freezing to my face

This season got me widowed

Feeling out of place

Summer around the corner

Melts the worries away
