Cardfight Vanguard - BT05 - Da-Planet

We got a new ride line reveal this past week for Vanguard’s upcoming BT05!

Thegrea’s going to be very interesting because there are two different ride line grade 3s, and they both state that if they are normal ridden on top of by a different unit with “Thegrea” in its name, it’s considered a persona ride!
The grade 3 Thegreas are based on light and dark, and have two effects, both of which are dependent on the opposite Thegrea.

Light Thegrea’s act ability is you can CB1 to look at the top 5 of your deck and call one, and if you have Dark Thegrea in your soul, you can call two instead of one.

Dark Thegrea’s act ability is you can retire two of your grade 2 or less units to choose one of your opponent’s rear guards and retire it, and if you have Light Thegrea in your soul, retire all opponent’s rear guards in the chosen unit’s column.
Both Thegreas also have a once-per-turn effect after they attack if you had ridden on top of the opposite Thegrea this turn; Light Thegrea says you can discard a card to stand one of your rear guards, while Dark Thegrea says you can CB1 and discard a card to stand itself, and it gets -1 drive until the end of the turn.

BT05 will be coming out on April 1st in Japan, while it’s set to release on June 10th in the US.
