Hoy fui para el evento de "Binance Academy" en la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. Duró dos días, solo en la tarde, aunque yo solo fui al segundo día, porque el primero se agotó muy rápido. Sin embargo de igual forma seguro que hubiese ido a uno solo, ya que era información muy básica.

Desde el principio supe que sería básico y que aprendería poco o nada. Sin embargo algo me impulsó a ir. Creo que fue la costumbre, la reacción de ver un evento cripto y sobretodo del mayor exchange del mundo.

No estoy seguro si Binance había hecho un evento antes en Venezuela, me imagino que sí y que tenía años sin hacerlo. Al que fui en 2021, era de BNB y fue mucho más grande. Este fue pequeño y con información muy superficial. La verdad es que si lo pienso bien, no tiene sentido haber ido, ya que esa universidad está al extremo de la ciudad. Creo que también fue una excusa para salir un poco de casa 😁. En ese sentido debí hacer networking, pero me salí antes del final, ya que la última parte era muy aburrida y yo ya estaba aburrido de todo lo que decían jaja.

Lo bueno es que "Salvé la Patria". Fui el único representante de Hive. De hecho solo había gente de Solana y yo de Hive. Los de Solana gritaron para que se hablara de su cripto. Mi sola presencia bastó para que se mencionara a Hive 😎

En la conferencia de Anibal Garrido, uno de los organizadores de la Caracas Blockchain Week, me reconoció entre el público y me saludó, mencionando a Hive como ejemplo de proyecto sólido con una comunidad comprometida. Me llenó de orgullo ese momento. Solo mencionó a Hive y a Cointelegraph de esa forma. A Solana la tuvo que mencionar porque un grupo la estaba gritando y dijo que la odia 🤣

Lo increíble es que no vi a ninguna cara conocida. Parecía gente nueva, pero en las preguntas, varios dijeron que tenían años en Cripto, aunque muy pocos más de cinco. Creo que los más "expertos", éramos Anibal y yo, con diez años en este mundo.

Today I attended the "Binance Academy" event at the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB). It lasted two days, only in the afternoon, although I only went to the second day because tickets for the first one sold out very quickly. However, I probably would have only gone to one anyway, since the information was very basic.

From the beginning, I knew it would be basic and that I would learn little to nothing. Yet, something pushed me to go. I think it was habit—the reaction of seeing a crypto event, especially one from the world's largest exchange.

I'm not sure if Binance had held an event in Venezuela before; I imagine they had and simply hadn't done one in years. The one I attended in 2021 was for BNB and was much larger. This one was small and the information was very superficial. Honestly, if I think about it, it didn't make much sense to go since that university is on the other side of the city. I think it was also an excuse to get out of the house for a bit 😁. In that sense, I should have done some networking, but I left before the end because the last part was very boring and I was already tired of everything they were saying, haha.

The good thing is that I "saved the day" (Salvé la Patria). I was the only Hive representative there. In fact, there were only people from Solana and me from Hive. The Solana folks were shouting for their crypto to be mentioned. My presence alone was enough to get Hive mentioned 😎.

During the talk by Anibal Garrido, one of the organizers of the Caracas Blockchain Week, he recognized me in the audience and greeted me, mentioning Hive as an example of a solid project with a committed community. That moment filled me with pride. He only mentioned Hive and Cointelegraph in that way. He had to mention Solana because a group was shouting for it, and he actually said he hates it 🤣.

The incredible thing is that I didn't see a single familiar face. It seemed like a new crowd, but during the Q&A, several people said they had been in crypto for years, though very few for more than five. I think the most "expert" ones there were Anibal and I, with ten years in this world.
