Sometimes its the simple things!

Hi lovely Foodies,

at the moment we have the most beautiful summer over here ("here" means the very north of Germany)! So one of my favourites is a mixed salad fresh from the garden topped with grilled chicken (not from the garden!!). In this post I would like to show you my own personal and oh so delicious chicken garden salad + vinaigrette recipe!
I start with harvesting some ripe tomtoes, lettuce and herbs:

Aren't they beautiful?

Freshness-check!

The ducks do enjoy the summerday too

What I harvested: Fresh tomatoes - different types, romaine lettuce, herbs, garlic

First I prepare the herbs for the vinaigrette by plucking the basil, rosemary and thyme leafs from the stem.

Together with parsley, cilantro, dill and chives I chop everything finely.

No clue how much of the herbs - a hand full?

Then I put the chopped herbs in a shaker and add ½ cup olive oil, ⅛ cup vinegar, ⅛ cup mustard, ⅛ cup maple sirup, ½ teaspoon salt, 1 pressed garlic clove.
And then: Shake it baby!
Meanwhile the sliced chicken breast (cornfed and organic of course!) sizzle in hot sesame oil until golden brown.

For the finish I like to add norwegian sea salt with a "secret" herb seasoning. (See how I made that pic by clipping the iphone to my top 😂 )

Then put the vinaigrette over the salad and top with the chicken.

Enjoy!
