Our first V-Day

I’ve been seeing this Valentine’s Day challenge across my Facebook feed a lot this past week. I refuse to make posts on Facebook anymore (besides sharing my Hive content), but I figured I could join in on the fun here on Hive. Perhaps maybe even convince some other happy couples to do the same.

I first met @flowerbaby in the summer of 2019. We spent some time apart after that and didn’t officially start dating until April 4th, 2020. The universe has a way of pulling people together no matter the circumstance.

The following questions should help you get to know @daltono and @flowerbaby as a couple:

Questions

How’d you guys meet? On the vast interwebs.

First date? We met at “The Grind”which is now closed. It was a little cafe with food, coffee, and board games.

How long have you been together? 10 months.

Married? No.

Age difference? I’m about 8 years older. She’ll be 21 in June and I turned 28 last October.

Who was interested first? It was a mutual feeling.

Who is taller? Me for sure.

Who said I love you first? Me, but she probably thought it first.

Most impatient? Probably her, although she’s not what I’d consider impatient.

Most sensitive? Definitely her.

Loudest? Depends on the situation. If we are alone, her. If it’s in public then me.

Most stubborn? I think it’s a tie. We both are pretty darn stubborn.

Falls asleep first? Me if it’s night time and her if it’s nap time.

Cooks better? Not sure either of us are top chef. She can bake and I can make breakfast and steaks.

Better morning person? Me for sure. Ever since I stopped working nights I’m just so happy to wake up early every day. I’m always the first one up.

Better driver? Me. Only because driving is one of my favorite things. She’s still a very solid behind the wheel.

Most competitive? Me, I will do everything in my power to not lose. That’s what growing up playing sports and video games did to me. I’m used to being a winner.

Funniest? We are both funny. I usually am deliberately and she is without even trying.

Where do you eat out most as a couple? Crepizza here lately.

Who is more social? Probably me. I can talk to literally anyone. She’s really talkative once you get through her barrier of shyness.

Who is the neat freak? ME!

Where was first kiss? My apartment.

How long did it take to get serious? About 9-10 months.

Who is the first one to admit when they’re wrong? Neither one of us are ever wrong.

Who wears the pants in the relationship? That would be me.

Who has more tattoos? Me, but she is starting to catch up.

Who sings better? She’s a better singer, but I can make up my own songs better than anyone else.

Hogs the remote? She usually gets to pick the movies/shows, but for some reason I’m always the one to cast it to the tv from my phone. Her battery is always almost dead. So am I the hog or is she, hard to tell.

Spends the most money? She seems to get more new things, but she’s a smart shopper and saves. I probably spend more overall.

Did you go to the same school? No. She went to Buffalo and I went to Nitro.

Who drives when you are going somewhere together? 99% of the time it’s me. I am the transporter.
