Checking out the composting and urban gardening display booth
I was in a shopping mall a while ago and noticed a booth along the main corridor and they are showcasing about urban gardening and composting. It's fascinating to see this kinds of efforts in educating the people about the importance of managing the home waste and turning them into something that will be beneficial to the environment and to one's health as well.
Urban gardening is becoming a trend recently and the government is also supporting the neighborhood by providing a dedicated space for growing organically-grown vegetables. On top of that, there are encouragement such as this booth where people can learn the technical side of putting up a personal home garden. I think that urban gardening is something that everyone of us is able to accomplishment with the right knowledge and support. It's inspiring that there is this kind of effort in trying to reach out to the people in the most effective way possible.
I think it's a good strategy to set-up the booth in a shopping mall because it is the place where there is a large foot traffic going on. And people are more likely to stop-by the booth and check out the display. It's convenient enough for people to sit down or pay attention to what is being presented.
The display is about composting. I think it's an ancient concept in gardening that remains relevant even in today's high-tech world. Some would say that hydroponics is the future of urban gardening however, it doesn't help alleviate the issues regarding waste management. Composting is something that will contribute to the solution and it's also beneficial to the gardening process by providing natural fertilizer to the vegetables or plants being grown on it.
