The Ferris wheel is in town
Every city has its skyline, and Dresden is no exception. But sometimes something is suddenly different: the Ferris wheel is there to herald the start of the festival season.
Sometimes it stands on the festival grounds on the banks of the Elbe, sometimes directly on Postplatz, a central square in the Old Town.
You rarely have the opportunity to see it during construction and here I was lucky enough to do so.
In the last pictures you can see the Yenidze, a former tobacco factory in oriental style, in the background.
