Sunday trade ban
Some countries and states have or are considering a Sunday trading ban. Here are some of the negative effects of the ban:
Reduced turnover and sales in the economy.
Taking away the opportunity for employees to receive a higher salary. Sundays are extra paid in most jurisdictions.
Depriving many students of the opportunity to earn money. Remember that many full-time students can work on weekends only.
Making it difficult for people without experience and education to enter the labor market.
Eliminating full-time jobs. Stores and malls generate a lot of jobs around them, such as employment for drivers, bakers etc
