FedEx Has High Expectations for Blockchain, Top Executives Say
On Monday, FedEx reiterated its self-assurance in blockchain technology at the Consensus 2018 conference, where Frederick Smith, CEO said the US shipping leader was investing in distributed ledger technology (DLT) to accomplish higher competence in its freight activities. According to Robert Carter, chief information officer, blockchain is a game-changer, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Smith stated:
“We’re quite certain that (blockchain) has a key and big implications in the supply chain, logistics, and transportation. In the place where FedEx makes its business, this could be a huge deal.”
