Monero is Even More Private
A Hardfork of a popular privacy coin Monero (XMR) that happened on August 13 introduced new privacy and security features to the network.
**Here are some upgrades:
**
1. The update reduced the size of the blocks and increased the speed of transactions; overall blockchain performance should increase by 5-7%.
2. The multi-signature functionality has been improved, and critical fixes have been added to the Monero security system;
3. The previous Bulletproofs algorithm, which is a zero-knowledge proof, has been updated to Bulletproofs+. In the new algorithm, the number of signers for the ring signature increased from 11 to 16.
Now, it will be even more difficult to determine which key was used to create the signature, which boosts the network's privacy.
4. Added view tags will speed up the synchronization of wallets that support Monero by 30-40% (this includes Ledger, Trezor, Cake).
