Three Things That Money Cannot give you
- FAMILY UNIT
Brianne *, a teenager in the United States, believes her father to highlights her job and the money she provides. "We have everything we need more and more," she says, "but my dad is never home because he always travels. I know it's about work, but I think he has a responsibility for his family too!"
Think: What are the regrets that Brianne's father could experience later in life? Put too much emphasis on material things, how does it affect his relationship with his daughter? What needs his family more than money?
Bible Principles for Consideration:
"Love for money causes all sorts of problems, and some people want so much money they have ... they've seriously hurt." - 1 Timothy 6:10, the contemporary English version.
"It's better to eat vegetables with people you love than eat the finest meat where there is hatred." - Proverbs 15:17, Translating Good News.
Bottom line: Money can not buy a family unit. It only comes from spending time with your family and giving them the right love and attention. Colossians 3: 18-21.
