Saving Lives with Crypto
Here is a great project I came across today which is being run by David Hay. He is aiming to onboard 300,000 people in Venezuala in 90 days for $2 million.
The project is being done to help the people of Venezula deal with the impacts of hyperinflation, where the cost of food and the essentials of life has spiralled out of control over the past few years.
In 2016 US$ 1 = Bs 1.150,00 and today’s is US$ 1 = Bs 235.000,00. Crypto currencies have a lot of potential to used for good in Latin America, especially where they can be used to stabilise people’s spending power when they are suffering the impacts of chronic hyperinflation of their domestic currency.
