Welp They Did It
I just opened up my TikTok app and horror I discovered it happened. It looks like they are shutting down until some resolution can be found on the recently past TikTok band legislation. I think this is a huge loss for free speech and could actually create some societal issues as I know a lot of people are mad about the ban while over 7 million Americans also relied on it for income.
I wrote a little about this topic earlier, but I’m still stunned that they were not able to come to a compromise at this time. It really is a bad look from an economic standpoint and will be interesting to see how markets and the public handle the news, Mark and Meta Are expected to win, but we’ll have to see.
