Suffocation, darkness, liberation [ Monomad Challenge ]

Photography is a creative art. As an artist, you try to convey the feelings and sensations you have experienced throughout your life, using light as raw material and the camera as a tool.

Today, I present to you a series of photographs that I had pending for some time. Accompanying these images, you will find a text of my own authorship that complements the exhibited works.

Suffocation, darkness, liberation:

I can't breathe; I feel tired, exhausted. I try, but it's as if something prevents me from inhaling; everything stops.

Everything is dark around me; only a strong light hits me directly in the face. Even that doesn't let me see; it's too strong. I try to see everything, but it blinds me with its strength.

I close my eyes; I close and open my mouth seeking to breathe. My hands try to touch my face, but I can't remove everything I have on me. It feels heavy; it's not possible for me.

Time passes, I manage to understand everything. I see myself in the mirror; I discover that the white veil in front of me, the same veil that didn't let me breathe, was part of my thoughts and imagination.

Little by little, it goes away; little by little, the white veil that didn't let me breathe is gone.

Black and white photographs, I used the strong light from the house bulbs and a slightly weaker desk light to create a spotlight, no professional lighting, I simply used what I had at hand, and this is the result.

With this photographic work, I am entering the #Monomad challenge.
