Air Buah Gelas Besar @ As Big As You Can Find || Food2Day
Hi Steemians! This is something my friends from Kuala Terengganu (KT) have always told me "If you ever go to KT, dont forget to try Air Buah Gelas Besar!" In English Air Buah Gelas Besar means Big Glass Fruit Juice. Well, you must be having the same thinking as me, "How big can it be?"
They told me that there are a few shops selling Air Buah Gelas Besar in KT but among all, only Air Buah Gelas Besar Pak San and Air Buah Gelas Pior are the two shops that are more popular. So, I decided to go to one of them, Air Buah Gelas Besar Pak San during one of my short trip here.

It was stated that this shop was the first ever shop to sell Air Buah Gelas Besar in KT.
THE CAFE
Air Buah Gelas Besar Pak San is located at one of the main road, Jalan Tengku Ampun Bariah. Its a 3KM ride with less than 5 minutes travel on car from KT Airport. The cafe atmosphere is nothing near fancy or classy but it definitely has a village feel as it was originally open by one of the villagers here. Although there is no air conditioning, at least its quite windy around this place.
THE MENU
The main thing about this place is about its Big Glass of Fruit Juice, so we will look into that primarily. The menu is basically just hung on the inner signboard at the shop.
The price of fruit juices are based on type of the container, without ice, with milk or both. I have translated the drinks menu at the tables below.

below. Some of the fruits I left them as they are in their original language as they dont have simple English name while some I worry I might translate wrongly. Well, If you are curious, the shop owner will explain it better.
Other than drinking fruit juices, we can also get to try some simple local dishes here such as keropok lekor, laksam, nasi lemak, fried rice and fried noodles at price range from RM3 to RM 5.

BUSINESS HOUR
The shop opens daily from 5:00PM to 1:00AM while closed on every Wednesday.
Sometimes one of the most worrisome thing for people when eating is to carefully look on "right side of the menu" first before simply making any orders. But over here might not be the case as even if we make any order without looking at the price is still cheaper compare to elsewhere for the same amount of drinks and food.
So...... If you ever go to KT, dont forget to try Air Buah Gelas Besar!!!
