Breaking the symmetry
My entry to the photocontest "The Old Dog Presents: The Mundane As Art Round 16......Stairs".
I'm really excited, that I found these beautiful steps so fast after kus-knee kindly suggested to participate in this contest. Actually I have to admit, that my girlfriend showed these stairs to me after I have been talking with her about the contest. It's located in the historic center of the small spanish town Moguer. We have visited this town on our travel through spain, because my girlfriend spend a year abroad here while being in school.
I love the way the picture turned out.
On the first glance, the photo seems rather symmetrical but that particular symmetry gets disrupted as one spots more and more details. I thought about writing them all down, but I think it's much more fun if you can discover them by yourself!
Because this photography is based around it's (a)symmetry, I did not want colours to divert the focus from it. Therefore I edited it to be black and white.
