U.S. killing net neutrality

Instead of viewing the internet as a utility and a basic service to be provided to people at managed and affordable rates like water and electricity, the U.S. is moving to make it a strict and limited pay to play model. Rural and remote areas will find it even harder to get good quality access. The U.S. continues to ramp up the volume on "haves vs. have nots" as the information age essential service of connecting through broadband becomes a pawn in the game of opportunity. Instead of making access more equal and amenable to the needs of an informed society, more and more people will struggle to link into the world wide web. Another example of how equality is a figure of speech getting squashed ever more frequently daily under the rhetoric and reality of excessive and exploitative individualism under a burgeoning plutocracy.
