Welcome to the Hive's Got Talent Community and my latest updates to give more insight into what is quietly happening behind the scenes...
Just before we get into that, the above video is from the current band that I am writing with called "Danny Shaw" and The Sub Spartans and this track we called "Rose Charisma" uploaded on the 19th February so this was not long before the lockdown in the UK.
From left to right we have Nigel Bowers on the Baritone sax, Clive Martin (me) on the alto sax, Danny Shaw on the Congo Drums, Marcus Keith Barker on the guitar and Jamie Sufi Davies on the Trumpet.
I'm really happy that finally we are hitting the studio again and will be filming and videoing our first track intended for our Album on the 10th July. We all felt the restrictions of the lockdown in different ways but for an enetertainer like myself it has been extremely challenging but on a positive note it's what actually brought me to the hive blog platform about 6 weeks back.
Please feel welcome to hit that threespeak gif below which will take you to my video channel where you will see a few past throwbacks of video's taken by people who have been entertained at various gigs.
Now music, playing the saxophone, singing songwriting will always be my main passion and I think that is probably why I have grown quite quick this time around on hive as before I started back in steemit and although I really did slog it out, I was trying to fit into everywhere I could, rather than focusing on a niche but also I found that videos on Dtube didn't really play after a certain length of time and for other things I like to use video for that wasn't really suiting my purpose, so I have to admit it was definitely @threespeak that really caught my imagination with the ability to upload videos that could store and play my content forever but also give me the ability to live stream which is something I need to still test and would like to do using video software plugged in called OBS. If by any chance anyone reading this has successfully live streamed on threespeak using OBS, please give me a shout.
Now the other stuff I do to help me gain the freedom to focus on my passion is affiliate marketing. In simple terms, you have a market that has need and a product that meets that need and as an affiliate marketer you put the two together and there are various skills anyone can develop to do that but it doesn't happen overnight and there are to many who think they can work i out without a coach and I did try that for number of years before finally consulting the right experienced people who had success. Cutting a long story short, I let go of ego and consulted my younger brother and learnt that I'd rather be the worst of the best rather than be the best of the worst if that makes sense?

Jumping back in time to when I was 22 I was in a group called "Promise". We were a group of lads that wrote our own music played instruments, did our own dance routines and within a year we were singing alongside other acts in the UK pop scene like boy group 911,. Kele Le Rock, Dina Carroll and Atomic Kitten. They were great times and as a young group we had a lot of fun but we never saw that our Manager was just a sales shark that was quietly squandering the money as we were basically been pimped out and it ended with him running of back to Australia after been able to pay of his debts with the money we made.
Well tough times don't last but tough people do and I said to myself that one day, I'm going to create a platform a venue a business that helps to put unseen talent in front of a stage and after years of almost denying my own real passion, it was a few years back i got back into entertaining but this time more with the saxophone and now with the growth of technology and a bunch of business skills and a maturer mentality and with discovering @threespeak an old flame in my belly has been relighted and a few things have come together but its a journey and the vision will manifest in stages.
So right now "Hive's Got Talent" first function is bringing together a group of talent scouts. Musician and entertainers that are already using @threespeak video uploads and streaming. Firstly video dominates the world of social media and is the best way to gain that like know and trust from a cold audience so I strongly believe as performers, artists, entertainers, musicians we have a lot of potential influence visually to help inspire other people over here and for me the best doorway is video because it creates the most traffic. Eg uploading a video a straight to social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin for example will get you more eyeballs to your content than anything else short term and I have have been proving this with my new found interest with threespeaks twitter madness campaign.
It's also congruent with the fact that when we see more adaption to our platform we all gain value. So right now i'm creating a few vids like the one embedded here
