Durante el Festival Jazz Plaza, que recién acaba de terminar, una de las locaciones habilitadas como sala de conciertos fue el centro multicultural "El Ingenio". Este lugar había estado cerrado hacía un tiempo, pero fue reparado y reabierto en esta ocasión especial.

Un año atrás, era asiduo a este lugar ya que tenían las mejores ofertas para divertirse de manera sana en la ciudad. Así que ahí estaba yo, en el reestreno de "El Ingenio", porque además la propuesta musical de esa noche me interesaba mucho.

Cuando investigué la carta de precios, me dí cuenta de que todos estaban bastante elevados. Eso me decepcionó un poco, a decir verdad, pues esperaba un valor similar al de la última vez, que se ajustaba más a la realidad en la que vivimos. De todas maneras no me iba a ahogar con el desaire, así que pedí un café americano, que era lo mejor en cuanto a cantidad, calidad y precio.

En el momento justo en que llegó mi pedido comenzó el concierto del Coro Madrigalista, uno de los más emblemáticos de Santiago de Cuba. Este coro, tras haber sufrido varios cambios en sus integrantes, había perdido gran parte del trabajo que había logrado. Rehacer un coro es tarea difícil, pero el maestro Ariel Rodríguez demostró un gran avance que casi nadie se esperaba.

Los acordes flotaban mientras yo apuraba por mi garganta ese americano delicioso, y juro que no podría estar más complacido. También, la presencia de otros amigos que disfrutan tanto el café como la música fue otro motivo de alegría esa noche. De todas las noches que duró el Festival Jazz Plaza, fue esta la más placentera, sin duda alguna.
