Full Bloom
We have begun receiving guests on our land; what a different reality it is, bringing others here! β€οΈβπ₯πͺ·π For myself, as a woman, this helps me holistic-ally, to ground myself, and to remind me of my purpose in life, my mothering, even.
As a womb one, I know a lot about Nature and Natural Law anyways, never mind studying or struggling to comprehend these things intellectually; embodied wisdom has a far better capacity towards integration. The womb as fulcro is like a perfectly-ordered Universe. And being around other women on my land is a particularly rich reminder of the kind of focus and vibration that I wish to maintain here.
This week we have a beautiful guest who cycled here from the coast, after a long train journey from the north of Italy. She is fabulous company, and it is an especially great joy to show her around the land, flora, fauna.
Seeing the nearby village and interacting with the locals too, is more fun with a guest: it kind of buffers us, at the same time as attracting even-more-than-usual hospitality! We need a siesta, after 'civilisation' excesses of caffeine, alcohol and sugar, mixed with a lot more chiacchiere than and I are accustomed to!
But even these unusual extravaganzes - caffΓ© latte, sweet pastries, and an impromptu cherry liqueur on a new acquaintance's terrazzo - can be antidoted by our healthy living on the land. Today's lunch was (yet another!) glorious concoction of seasonal veggies and wild harvested leaves: a divine soup together with fresh local bread and Dutch cheese... a walk around the land exploring all that is shooting up into the spring sunshine, and a power nap, and all is right again.
Seeing our special places and the surrounding area, with friends who know a lot (like us!) about how to live in harmony with Nature, is just perfect. A great symbiosis, layered on top of what is already a gently augmenting symbiotic dance with all things.
The life here, the flowers, the newly-sprouting trees, the bees and birds and very winds and waters, seem to vibrate with us all, as we walk and talk and enthusiastically appreciate it all!
And what's not to appreciate?! We are alive! We have legs and arms to move and play with! The sun is warming our backs and our faces! The flowers are swinging in the gentle breeze, and we are free in our rhythms and work!
Celebration and gratitude are a surprisingly vital aspect of our homesteading life-style: they help keep us rooted and humble. Having enthusiasm ourselves, helps raise the vibration, which in turn is absolutely key to keeping our energy high, our focus sharp, and our vision wide.
Keeping our consciousness high is waaaay more important in this adventure than having a secure income, or the 'right machinery', or an electrical current, or vegetables planted in rows and squares...
Being conscious, present, open and super-content with what we do have, allows the next simple step to naturally fall into place; a solid balance between the masculine and the feminine aspects. And maintaining a consistently high emotional frequency, makes it sooo much easier to manage a huge life project like this #sovereignhomestead !
And any other kind of attitude or approach results in separation or contraction. But if we see ourselves as a divine, integral, wise and guided element of the vital, biodiverse intelligent landscape, season, era... we (relatively!) effortlessly keep to our threads of it. We know each sacred tweak which is ours to make, and we perform it, and are deeply full-filled by this. Our steps are mostly very gentle, respectful, righteous. And the outcomes are very slow, whilst accumulatively enriching, freeing, expansive-ising!!
In this subtle process, a restful moment in natural 'silence' (natural sounds are always present) is the perfect punctuation. A portion of the day should always be rest-full, because this will re-align the mindbodyspiritcosmos, that the following time will be more efficiently occupied. We all know what the contrary, contractual, tension-based approach brings!
Off we go again, refreshed and ready for another gentle session with secateurs... possibly some sewing, some more plant identifying and some cooking for the evening meal... Life will not always be so peace-full, and so we make the very, very very most of it whilst it is, to strengthen our spirits for the next challenge!
With Love!
