So, for those of you who don't know me, first of all, hello there! I live in a lovely home with my wonderful partner who is currently putting ALL his spare time this weekend into sorting out a massive mold problem that we've had in our bedroom... for years honestly. I mean, we treat it every year, as far as we can, but life gets so busy we never get to all of it. In the spring time, you can't even see it, but as soon as the wet season starts, and I stop opening the bedroom window, it creeps back in. One year we had actual mushrooms growing in the stairwell!!

This time around, zakludickHive account@zakludick has moved ALL our furniture around in the bedroom, uncovering many lost treasures like missing earrings I've been searching for - some for YEARS and then some stuff resembling something the cats would hack up and I am SO glad the vacuum cleaner zapped up ๐Ÿคฃ

So what does this have to do with knitting? Well, Zak is expressing one of his many love languages and is taking care of me, since I spend most of my time up there.

Also, a change is as good as a holiday. Although I have been resisting it for sometime now, It means I', going to have to sort out all ,my paper work and jewelry and the terrible mold of medicine, wool, wired and even a hair dryer that occupied my side of the bedroom, on the floor alone ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

One Of my love languages is knitting. Over the last year and a half, I have managed to pick up the needles after decades, and get back into the meditative process of knitting which helps my anxiety and helps me to keep my loved ones warm!

I must admit, I was surprised by my wool choice, but it had such lovely colours, and I really really hoped that it would somehow turn into a rainbow, ad it did!!! I am so excited at how the lengths of yarn seem to change colour along with the amount of stitches I have knitted on. It is really bringing me so much happiness.

It is also the fastest scarf I have made, since I have had plenty of practice with the other four, and I have reached the half way point in just over two weeks! Soon it will be ready to wear, and I really and truly can't wait!

Isn't it just gorgeous!? It makes me think of rainbows and fairies and My Little Ponies <3

Next, I will be knitting scarves and blankets for charity and pairing up with the ladies who run the craft shop next door in their philanthropy. It's not completely unselfish, admittedly. I do get a bit of a dopamine boost when a project is completed and of course, knowing that I helped someone stay a little warmer this winter will also mean a great deal to me.

It has been horribly cold. Especially the last year or two, maybe even three. But this year was the first time I could actually see my own breath, while sitting in bed! No wonder I don't wan to open the windows!!
