Barleycorn 6: Sharing The Stage With Some of The Best SA has to Offer

On Monday, Jasper and I embarked on or 6th journey to the Barleycorn. I remember our first visit there and how nervous I was. I still get nervous but at least I always have @jasperdick beside me and @zakludick supporting me from next to the stage, in the audience or wherever I need him. I am so blessed. These two make singing live such an awesome experience.

I am picking 3 songs from each act to feature here my personal favorites!

At this particular show, we were joined by our opening act, Sarah Blake. This PHENOMENALLY talented lady plays the double base, the guitar and sings like an absolute angel.

We were in the middle, and after Sarah's performance, I was so moved. she sang about the passing of her father as well as losing contact with her sister after a row. It just really hit me in the feelz and totally tested my waterproof mascara!

We were up next ad it was tough to perform my own emotional songs. Luckily, Jasper is very supportive and he let me have a music stand :p especially for the new lyrics!

The Norra Trio were just super. with their vibey signature beat they had the crowd rocking and rolling!

It's just such a pity that its always a Monday night. It means the venue shuts down and people run for their cars as soon as the final act is finished, giving us little to no chance to chat to our fellow performers or the organizers. It's always nice to schmooze a bit right? However, I d understand why, its musicians : day off as most venues that offer acts live music slots are closed on a Monday. Also, you cant pay for such a wonderful listening audience.

I sincerely hope to see them and share as stage with them again!
