My Proposed State Flag Design

The Office of the Secretary to the State Government in my state Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria has organized a contest where indigenes are to compose a State Anthem, Pledge and Design a flag. Contestants are to make their choice on selecting their area of interest. I have participated and chooses to design the flag in which three colours are to be used. Orange, white and green. Here is what this colours signify.

• Orange represents Happiness, Enthusiasm, Attraction, Success, Fascination, Creativity, Determination and Stimulation. It also symbolizes Endurance.

• Green represents Life and Nature. It is associated with Growth and Harmony.

• White represents Purity, Possibility,Perfection, Light and Cleanliness.

This is my own concept in the aspect of designing the flag:)

Taking a close look, Akwa Abasi Ibom State is blessed with the following Agricultural resources namely; Oil palm, Rubber, Cocoa, Cassava, Yam, Plantain, Banana, Maize, Timber, Cocoyam. The leaf in the middle of the flag is a Cassava leaf which signifies the abundance of Agricultural resources in the state.

Results are yet to be announced, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. How is the design guys?
