International coffee day

WELCOME

To celebrate International Coffee Day on 1 October, the municipality of Graneros set up a coffee station in the Plaza de Armas. My daughter asked her dad @manros11 and me to accompany her to the plaza for a coffee tasting after we finished running some errands. The mayor of Graneros participated in the celebration and invited all attendees to enjoy delicious coffee with national and international exhibitors. International Coffee Day has been celebrated since 1 October 2015 in support of all those who grow coffee.

Although when we arrived there weren't many people left, the tasting was still going on. They gave us each a spoon to try the four types of coffee they had. Each coffee had three cups: two had coffee and one had ground coffee, plus a cup of water to rinse the spoon.

I liked the Brazilian coffee the most.
There was also a barista who taught us how to prepare the coffee and then add the milk, which gave it creaminess in the machine, emphasising that the milk should not be reheated because it makes you feel sick. He finished by making two designs in the coffee with milk and then distributed it among those present. We didn't add sugar because it was delicious as it was.
Many people say that good coffee should be drunk strong and without sugar to appreciate its flavour, but I have to add sugar because otherwise it gives me heartburn, and I have to drink it hot because cold coffee upsets my stomach.

The truth is that coffee, black or with milk, is delicious at any time of day, and it's even better when shared with friends.
