Hello everyone, how are you doing? (I hope you are well❤️). Today I am here to show you a poster that I was asked to make, it is a drawing of the anatomy of the orbit. It is a drawing of an eye that I was asked to do for my medical career.

Holaa a todos ¿Cómo se encuentran? (espero que bien❤️) El día de hoy les vengo a mostrar una pancarta que me encargaron, es de la anatomía de la orbita. Es un dibujo de un ojo que me pidieron para la carrera de medicina.

Well, it all started when a girl wrote to my sibling that she needed my services, she is a medical student and she sent the image of what she needed to my sibling, I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous and a little bit scared, because the drawing looked a little complicated, buuut, there is nothing to stop me, so I made all my effort to impress Astrid, the medical student, so I started doing the sketch, actually I did it very fast and maybe it's because I always like to draw eyes, of course, pretty eyes drawings, not their anatomy hahahahahahahahahahaha

Bueno, todo empezó cuando una chica le escribió a mi hermano que necesitaba de mis servicios, ella estudia medicina y le mandó la imagen de lo que necesitaba a mi hermano, no les voy a mentir, la verdad estuve un poco nervioso y un poquito asustado, ya que el dibujo se veía un poco complicado, peroooo, no hay nada que me detenga, por eso hice todo mi esfuerzo para impresionar a Astrid, la estudiante de medicina, así que empecé haciendo el boceto, en realidad lo hice muy rápido y tal vez sea porque siempre me gusta dibujar ojos, claro, dibujos ojos lindos, no su anatomía jajajajjajaja

And well, after having the sketch ready I started with the coloring and well, in that big red circle was what took me the longest, I would even dare to say that 50% of the time I was coloring that, and well, I really would have saved a lot of time if I did it with paint, the problem is that I have better skills with wood colors, and I really did not want to risk it, I wanted to make something nice and that my client would like it, which is the most important thing.

Y bueno, luego de tener el boceto listo empecé con el coloreado y bueno, en ese gran circulo rojo fue en lo que tardé más, hasta me atrevería a decir que el 50% del tiempo estuve coloreando eso, y bueno, en verdad me hubiera ahorrado muchísimo tiempo si lo hacía con pintura, el problema es que tengo mejores habilidades con los colores de madera, y la verdad no quería arriesgarme, quería hacer algo bien bonito y que le gustara a mi cliente, que es lo más importante.

After a long, long, long time coloring I managed to finish that red sphere, the colors I used to give shadows and depths were brick red, terracotta and dark brown, with those colors (and with a lot of patience) I was darkening little by little, achieving this effect that I loved, it looks very nice and has a lot of depth, I achieved this by leaving the edges darker and the center brighter and mixing the colors smoothly.

Luego de un gran, gran, gran rato coloreando logre terminar esa esfera roja, los colores que usé para dar sombras y profundidades fueron, rojo ladrillo, terracota y café oscuro, con esos colores ( y con mucha paciencia) fui oscureciendo poco a poco, logrando este efecto que me encantó, se ve muy bonito y tiene mucha profundidad, esto lo logré dejando los bordes más oscuros y el centro más brillante y mezclando los colores suavemente.

Then what was missing were the small details, of course, they also cost me a little and I tried very hard to make them beautiful to complement the coloring I had already done. The truth is that I can't explain them very well because I don't know the parts of the eyes (I leave that to the doctors). However, I can tell you that the little veins that come out of the yellow and end in the red sphere I made them with a dark brown color and with a terracotta color and I feel that they were very well done, they give it the touch.

Luego ya lo que faltaba eran pequeños detalles, claro, también me costaron un poco y me esforcé mucho en que me quedaran bellos para que complementaran el coloreado que ya había hecho. La verdad no les se explicar muy bien porque no me se las partes del ojos (eso se lo dejo a los médicos) Sin embargo, les puedo decir que la venitas que salen de lo amarillo y terminan en la esfera roja las realicé con un color café oscuro y con un color terracota y siento que me quedaron muy bien, le dan el toque.

Then I gently applied a skin color on the outside, I did that as a detail, to give a little more context to the eye and I also did the eyelashes with a black permanent marker. I really think the eyelashes looked great, and excuse me if I'm a bit egocentric today, it's just that at this moment I'm learning to value my art more, and it's something I enjoy a lot, although if I'm honest, I was very insecure while I was doing this drawing, it makes me a bit insecure about these anatomy things because I have to stick too much to the original and I can't make mistakes, but everything got better when my client said that it was beautiful and that I have a lot of talent, that made me feel very good and made me want to keep drawing for the rest of my life.

Luego apliqué suavemente un color piel por la parte de afuera, eso lo hice como detalle, para otorgarle un poco más de contexto al ojo y también le hice las pestañas con un marcador permanente negro. En verdad considero que las pestañas me quedaron muy bien, y disculpen si hoy estoy un poco egocéntrico, solo es que en este momento estoy aprendiendo a valorar más mi arte, y es algo que disfruto mucho, aunque si les soy sincero, estuve muy inseguro mientras hacía este dibujo, me pone un poco inseguro estas cosas de anatomía ya que tengo que apegarme demasiado al original y no puedo cometer errores, pero todo mejoró cuando mi cliente dijo que quedó hermoso y que tengo mucho talento, eso me hizo sentir muy bien y me dieron ganas de seguir dibujando por el resto de mi vida.

And well, to finish with this assignment what I did was to add a few more details, I added a green background with chalk and well, for the letters I decided to do something a little simple, running letters with black marker and colored highlighters. And well, after finishing the banner, the only thing left to do was to deliver it, and so it was, I gave the order to my client and as I told you, she loved it, she really liked my work, something that made me very happy and motivated me to continue drawing.

Y bueno, para terminar con este encargo lo que hice fue agregar unos cuantos detalles más, agregué un fondo de color verde con tizas y bueno, para las letras decidí hacer algo un poco simple, letras corridas con marcador negro y resaltadores de colores. Y bueno después de terminar con la pancarta solo quedaba entregarla, y bueno así fue, le entregué el encargo a mi cliente y como ya les conté, a ella le encantó, le gustó mucho mi trabajo, algo que me hizo hacer muy feliz y motivado a seguir dibujando.
