Shah Mosque, Isfahan (Iran) !!!

Today , i will be talking about a great mosque , It is the Shah Mosque aka Imam or Jameh Abbasi Mosque .

The mosque is Located in the south side of Naghsh-I Jahan Square in Isfahan, Iran. It was built during the Safavi period (1611-1629) by the great archetect Ali Akbar Isfahani . It is registered as a a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The mosque is depicted on the reverse of the Iranian 20,000 rials banknote.
The port of the mosque measures 27 m high, crowned with 2 minarets 42 m tall. The Mosque is surrounded with four iwans (gateway) and arcades. All the walls are ornamented with seven-color mosaic tile. The most magnificent iwan of the mosque is the one facing the Qibla ( the Kaaba) measuring 33 m high. Behind this iwan is a space which is roofed with the largest dome in the city at 52 m height.
The shah mosque is considered as one of the everlasting masterpieces of architecture in Iran and in the world ....
