The Tree a poem

The Tree written by me
Reaching to the sky
Growing every day
The old tree wonders
If he'll always stay this way
He's happy when there's children
On a blanket down Below
He stretches to touch them
Saying please don't go
He smiles when he hears laughter
When the wind blows his leaves
On all the little children
Playing by his knees
The sun is setting
He knows soon he'll be alone
He'll go to sleep with love in his heart
From the day that he has seen
There's always tomorrow
Which every night is on his mind
Time again to see the little children
