Market Updates

The purpose of the Creative Coin Fund is to provide the artists of Hive with a substantial CCC upvote, and to make that vote meaningful by supporting the steadily rising price of Creative Coin.

We're supporting the price of CCC with three mechanisms:

The daily market purchase is a market order for CCC of 10 to 15 Hive daily.

• Through December 30: minimum 10 Hive

The base buy-in order is a limit order meant to establish the price support for the market. The buy-in order is updated weekly on Thursdays.

• Current Price: .001491
• Order Size: 35 Hive for 23,475 CCC

The daily limit order is a buy set daily at a price above the base buy-in order.

• Current Price: .003212
• Order Size: 9.029 Hive for 2,811 CCC

Our midmonth fiat contribution provided 280 Hive to fund the buy-in order for four weeks and the daily market purchase for two weeks. We are budgeting 140 Hive for each mechanism: 35 Hive each week for the buy-in and 10 Hive daily for the daily market purchase.

So far this week, the market is trading well above our buy-in order. If that continues, we will have 70 Hive for the updated order on Thursday, which will be placed at a supporting price dependent on market conditions.

We continue to fund the daily limit order through the sale of our liquid CCC earnings and H-E token drips and earnings. We also purchased 87 HBD with the fiat contribution this month, and we're dripping that into the daily limit order when it is profitable. We cap the daily limit order at 5,000 CCC and place it above the highest limit order when we've built up enough Hive to do so.

New Investments

We continue to work toward our goal of 2,000 HP by powering up 90 percent of our post earnings. Ten percent of post HBD earnings is put into savings, and we then power up our HBD interest from those savings.

When we reach 2,000 HP, those earnings will be funneled into Hive Engine for further investment and to fund our market mechanisms.

This month we also started purchasing BEE in a substantial way, both to use as an investment in the BEE:HBD liquidity pool and to save toward setting up a liquidity pool for Creative Coin. It costs 1,000 BEE to set up the pool. @cliffagreen is powering down 4,000 PAL to convert into roughly 200 BEE, and with his U.S. tax return coming in a couple months, we might be able to have a CCC liquidity pool set up by March or April.

Expanded Discord Curation

The Creative Coin Discord is a happening place these days, with over 50 posts being shared there on a daily basis. The Fund is dedicated to curating and engaging with these Creative Coin authors, and to that end we've added a second Discord curator to our curation team.

After the holidays, @gislandpoetic will begin curating and commenting on posts shared in Discord five days a week. @gislandpoetic is relatively new to Hive, joining the blockchain in June 2021. She is a student of letters at Universidad Central in Venezuela. She describes herself (translated from Spanish) as a "literature lover, enthusiastic and with a faithful purpose to promote art, creativity and everything that makes us unique."

We're thrilled to have her on the team. We now have nine curators using your delegations to support the artists and creatives of #creativecoin seven days a week.
