Filipinas.. Embrace your color! <3

What is Morena? Morena is the term for women who have a tan skin. There has been a stereotyping in the Philippines that the standard of beauty is if they have a fair complexion or white skin. No wonder why Whitening products are so popular and in demand here in my country. Most of the models and celebrities have a white skin. With this , most women here can't embrace their real beauty. They lose confidence about their self and they feel that they are not beautiful. So many women here will spend a lot for whitening products such as Glutathione and etc to change their skin color.

A real beauty of a Filipina is their tan skin that most people all over the world are envious of. Filipinas can't imagine how beautiful they are without those fake skin color. I must admit.. I used to spend a lot for these whitening products before. I feel so proud that I have naturally fair complexion but I want it to as white as I can. But all suddenly changed after I've been involved with watching make up tutorials of the top make up gurus in youtube. From what I observed.. most of them are tan. I once watched a youtube video of this makeup guru where she used artificial lotion just to get her skin done. That gives me a weird thoughts. She is using that while I can just go under the sun for about and hour and achieve the tan skin that they crave for.

From that time, I realized.. I dont need to have a white skin to be beautiful. After making this makeup video..I found out that I am prettier when I am tan. :)
