Chris visits long-time artist friend Sweet Melis at her mountain-top art studio in Asheville. In their chill conversation they discuss the birth of live painting into the east-coast festival scene, the community and artists formed from and around it, composition, snowboarding, graphic design, becoming a fine artist, the importance of finding your own artistic voice, running a small business, social media pitfalls, empowerment through motherhood and the ongoing changes amidst the festival scene and world at large.
About the Artist:
“I am passionately living a dream of constant creation. I am inspired by the earth and the sky, by color and design. I want to project the beauty of nature and its synchronicity in my work. I want people to see the beauty I see in this world, to feel it, to live presently in it.”
