Como pierden la vida los

corrompidos por la sed de poder
Como se secan los días

de los cultivadores de la vanidad
Como mueren las oportunidades

de los creyentes en la ignorancia
Como caen como hojas secas

los habituados a las naderías
El tiempo galopa por la llanura

de las Eras sin asombrarse

de la mediocridad humana.

How life is lost by those

corrupted by the thirst for power
How the days run dry

for the cultivators of vanity
How opportunities die

for the believers in ignorance
How they fall like withered leaves

those accustomed to trivialities
Time gallops across the plain

of the Ages, without a glance

at human mediocrity.
