The end of four days off work, and I'm certainly well done. It's been glorious sunshine every day, and I've been in out in it nearly every waking moment.

I've seen a whole load of flowers.

Today I took my boy and his friend to Funzy the indoor inflatable fun park, for an hour of bouncing and then we had a snack at Nando's before heading back to Victoria Park in Bradford.

The plaque I showed you on Saturday about the munitions factory explosion is mounted on that stone, we decided to head out from the park to the location where the factory used to be.

At the edge of the park we found this spooky tunnel, if you look deep into the black there is a tiny white dot.

We climbed up and out of the park, we didn't have to we could have walked around but this way was more fun. It's much steeper then it looks on camera.

We found more information on the explosion at the top.

And then we took a walk around the area, while the factory remains were long ago filled in with landfill - there were still interesting things to see.

We found many of these pipes with padlocked lids, I'm assuming they are related to the land fill and are vents to stop gasses build in the buried debris.

This was interesting too, the boys were all for trying to open it up - it wasn't really happening!

Heading back to the park we passed this disused railway building.

Flowers, we were out until late again - nearly sunset

All the walking around Victoria Park certainly picked up my step count - a very respectable end to four days of activity.
