Another 10,000 step breaker of a day, although in fact I have travelled over 250 miles. Leaving Halifax at midday I reached London Heathrow airport at 3.45pm. The Turkish coffee roaster Engineer I was meeting landed at 3.20pm, and walked out of customs at 4.45pm. He had his hard case searched twice - which is no surprise as it’s full of spanner’s, screwdrivers and bit’s of coffee roaster. He still knows more English then I do Turkish, his favourite word is problem.

Anyway we set of for Central London at peak traffic time, it’s 13 miles direct to where we are in Hammersmith - it took 2 hours to drive! Not helped by my Sat Nav constantly finding new traffic jams and re-routing us back the way we had come. At one point we definitely just did a big circle - but somehow it managed to avoid the main roads and take a pretty tour of the London back roads.

Tomorrow I just have to show the engineer where he is working - and then leave him to it. I’m booking a transfer car to take him to the Airport Sunday - the sooner I get back up North the better.

We did take a walk into Hammersmith centre to get some food - but I didn’t get chance to take any photos so this is from a previous London trip.
