Some Smelly Water

A few shots from my Banff trip. This is a basin filled with natural spring water and it just stunk horribly. There is s ton of sulfur in the water and inside this little area the smell was almost unbearable. The whole area is a protected site and you are not allowed to touch the water. It's not harmful but since it's protected you could get fined up to $5,000 for dipping a finger in, pretty excessive.

Here's another stinky water hole. This one was supposed to have some crazy snails that able able to handle all of the sulfur but I was unable to spot them. They must be incredible animals just from the fact they can handle the smell.
