Peanut DeFi (Nutbox v1.0) involves 9 coins and tokens and their inter-operations in its current tokenomics, which is rather complicated for newcomers. I hereby provide a simplified Peanut DeFi tokenomic scheme to make it easier for newcomers to understand the overall ecology of Peanut DeFi. SBD (Steem Backed Dollar) is omitted for simplicity and clarity.

Basically, Peanut DeFi involves two blockchains, namely Steem and Tron. The central token of Peanut DeFi, PNUT, is a TRC-20 token. The price of PNUT is pegged to the Voting Power (SP) of @nutbox.mine, which in turn is directly proportional to the effective Steem Power held by @nutbox.mine. Therefore, the price of PNUT is influenced by the effective SP of @nutbox.mine and the price of Steem.

Mining PNUT

Currently, there are 5 ways to mine PNUT (illustrated as dotted yellow lines in the scheme):

SP Delegation Stake Mining

By directly delegating SP (MUST be done through https://peanut.nutbox.io) to @nutbox.mine, investors receive PNUT generated every 3 seconds based on their share of the delegation pool.

TSTEEM Stake Mining

TSTEEM is the tethered equivalent of Steem on Tron chain. It can be staked to mine PNUT similarly to SP delegation, but its return is 1/10 that of SP delegation.

TSTEEM can be cross-chain converted into Steem immediately (1 Steem is required for every conversion) and vice versa.

TSP Liquid Stake Mining

TSP is the tethered equivalent of SP on Tron blockchain, where 1 TSP is defined as equivalent to delegating 1 SP to @nutbox.mine.

Unlike SP which needs to be 'powered down' (unstake) over a period of 28 days into Steem for transfer or trading, TSP can be transferred or traded on Tron blockchain immediately without wait time. However, converting TSP back to Steem requires 5 weeks time.

Farming by Staking PNUT-TRX-LP or TSP-TRX-LP (Mining by Providing Liquidity)

When you provide liquidity to a trading pair, you will receive the corresponding liquidity pool (LP) token and get to earn transaction fees from the liquidity pool proportional to your share of the pool.

By staking the LP tokens of PNUT-TRX or TSP-TRX trading pairs, one gets to earn additional profit of PNUT on top of transaction fees from the pool.

Buying Upvote from @nutbox.mine

The pegging of PNUT to upvotes by @nutbox.mine is the central tenet of Peanut DeFi.

The process of buying Upvotes using PNUT in essence is converting PNUT into SP, Steem (If you choose 50%/50% payout) and TRX.

It's profitable if:

1. The prices of PNUT, Steem and TRX all remain roughly the same, or
2. The price of PNUT goes down, or
3. The prices of Steem or TRX goes up.

It's unprofitable if:

1. PNUT price goes up
2. The prices of Steem or TRX goes down.
