Monomad Photography Challenge - Crows

Here is my entry into todays #monomad photography challenge.

These are some shots I took at Halfpenny Airfield in Wolverhampton on a beautiful sunny day in June earlier this year. Crows are almost all black but the sun was getting quite low in the sky and I got this shot with the crows one wing fully illuminated by the sun while the rest of it was in relative shade.

My friend goes there regularly and had been putting some snacks down for the birds in the carpark at the airfield, where some crows always came over to feed on the snacks.

This was my second attempt at capturing birds in flight after familiarising myself with the pro capture feature on my Olympus camera. What a great feature for birds in flight!

The image below was one of many magpies which where trying to pick up any of the scraps left over by the crows.
