Dominate Summer Parenting...
If you haven't laughed today as a parent you probably are being dominated...so heres a few of my favorites
go ahead and laugh out loud...lol if your into that...but I would encourage actually laughing...
So my wife recently adopted a summer strategy for our chillens...and its been Amazing...and even helpful for myself...
the summer means no school - so you have to fill a lot more time needing to be filled...go outside and play gets pretty old, use your imagination doesn't really work, and more screen time generally just creates feelings of inadequacy...
So when the "Immmm boorrrreeeeddddd" is ringing through your hallway again give them a challenge.
We have challenged our kids everyday this summer to do the following...
- Learn something
- Serve someone
- Play
- work
Let them attack these in whatever form they want and at age appropriate levels...but its given our kids a task, helped with attitudes and they are actually learning things, serving each other, and doing meaningful work around the house...
try it...lemme know what you think...and laugh...parenting is ridiculous
