Dog and cat - Perro y gato

I don’t like cats. I was always raised with the idea that they’re treacherous and mean, and that the only thing they’re good for is catching mice. I don’t find them cute: they steal your food and most of them misbehave, since they rarely listen. People are fascinated by them because they think they’re adorable; I don’t see it that way. Their gaze feels cold and threatening. That’s why I photographed them. I think they’re the animal I dislike the most.

Los gatos no me gustan. Siempre me han criado con la idea de que son traicioneros y malos, que lo único para lo que sirven es para cazar ratones. A mí no me parecen tiernos: te roban la comida y hacen cosas mal casi todos, porque tampoco hacen mucho caso. A las personas les fascinan porque son tiernos; para mí no lo son. Tienen una mirada fría y amenazadora. Por eso los fotografié. Creo que es el animal que más detesto de todos.

I’m more of a dog person. They’re more protective, and some are more imposing. They’re also easier to train than cats and can be even more affectionate.

Soy más de perros. Son más protectores y algunos más imponentes. Además, son más fáciles de educar que los gatos y pueden ser más tiernos que ellos.

Cat lovers, don’t take it personally. It’s just my opinion and my personal taste.

Los fans de los gatos, no se sientan mal. Es solo mi opinión y mis gustos.
