I believe there is no way we want to talk about mining and staking without involving Blockchain since they are both carried out the Blockchain.both mining and staking are very common word use in the crypto system on daily basis.there have been a lot of critics against crypto mining,many said it lead to high energy consumption which means that alot or enormous amount of energy is need before mining can take place.

Blockchain are primarily design to be decentralized which have thousands of computers around the world.this computers works together in carrying out the daily transactions that takes place on the Blockchain.bitcoin uses an algorithm called proof of work to validate and protect the network from malicious users,this method is basically called mining.for Bitcoin or nay other crypto to be successfully mined a special tool called GPU is usually needed, proof of work involves using computers to provide solution to a cryptography problem during the creation of each block data.so in this case it very hard for malicious users to alter the function of the Blockchain and even if they manage to ,the energy consumption used in carrying out the whole process might prove too difficult.the whole idea of power of work is to ensure that no malicious action take place on the Blockchain.

The power generation nightmare in in proof of power is the reason why proof of stake might be better when it come to power consumption.in proof of stake instead of using computational power by computes ,it rather use the method of security deposit which is combined with economic activities to make malicious activities expensive.proof of stake allows you to stake your cryptocurrencys as a collateral which gives you the opportunity to earn on your collaterized cryptos.technicallybit has proven to be a solution to Blockchain consensus since it relies on the collateral by its validators to secure the network.the only thing that is needed in proof of stake is just for you to buy some cryptocurrencys and transfer it to the appropriate wallet ,stake it and beging validating and earning reward.

Proof of work was a decentralized electro ic cash system which is energy intensive but highly effective,but proof of stake is a replacement for the problem been encountered in proof of work most especially on the aspect of energy consumption,it also gives it users the opportunity to earn passive income through staking and collaterization.
